Institute for Marine Biological Resources and Biotechnology (CNR-IRBIM)
Researcher at the CNR for more than 30 years. My research interests include chemical processes of both organic and inorganic compounds in soil, groundwater, and sea water. Since June 1997 I deal almost exclusively with the sea, focusing on biogeochemical mechanisms occurring in the water column and in the water/sediment interface, and on interactions between pollutants and xenobiotics in marine sediments and organisms. Currently, I hold the position of Director od Research at the CNR Institute for Marine Biological Resources and Biotechnology. I am author or co-author of more than 280 scientific publications.
