Senior assistant professor in General Botany at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences and a member of the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial Research of the University of Bologna. My research is focused on microalgae and covers various aspects, such as growth and toxicity, algal bloom dynamics, production of toxins and allelopathic compounds, the use of algal cultures for phytodepuration, the optimization of their cultivation to obtain bioactive compounds for industrial applications.
