Associate Professor of General Botany at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna where leads the laboratory of Algal Biology (ALGOLAB); I'm the Coordinator of the Master Degree in Marine Biology and of the Phycological group of the Italian Botany Society. I'm involved in research on cultured microalgae with a focus on both environmental problems and biotechnological applications and I'm active in industrial research operating within the regional Technopole.
